So many folks that I meet are stuck shooting their cameras in automatic mode, without knowing what it’s doing, and they are getting frustrated with not being able to get their images to come out the way that they feel they should. Images are blurry, over or under-exposed, the wrong color and no one knows why. Manuals are overwhelming, and photography is a skill that is best mastered by practicing.
Photo Walks are done in small groups, with a maximum of 5 participants, and we do just what it sounds like…we take a walk with our cameras and practice using them with more control. We’ll talk about aperture, shutter speed and ISO. We’ll go over some composition tricks, and how to best use the light that is available to you. We’ll have lots of time to practice what I’m preaching, and I’m an open book as far as questions go. You’ll leave the session with a better understanding of how your camera works, questions answered and fired up to go home and practice shooting!
Sessions are offered throughout the year, and by request. Class fee is $125 per person for a 2.5 hour session. These classes are directed at hobbyists, not aspiring professionals. If you fall under the latter category, and want to work on a technique or talk business, please contact me for a private session!
